Colour Book Pages

This is my book, Prairie Yellow!   My mom and I collaborated on the content, as I utilized a variety of her landscape photographs taken across Alberta. This project is an edition of two so we are both able to have a copy-- however, I think this project has excellent sales potential and if I decide to sell them in a market sort of environment it would be incredibly easy to produce more because of the convenient size, process, and format. I decided to use Hemp Leaf binding as I felt it had the most "country kitchen" feeling, and I really enjoyed the stitching process. Prairie Yellow features a variant double-bound cover-- I wanted to include both shades of the beautiful yellow papers I purchased from the bookstore. For the cover, I felt inspired by a TikTok I saw by the "Patron Saint of Homosexuality" who designs Contemporary Catholic garb with a snap-on system-- very fun, I have included the link below! I designed the cover, and my girlfriend Luka helped me to execute it with paint pens.
